The Irish Centre for Poetry Studies at the Mater Dei Institute invites poetry scholars from all over the world to participate in its activities. This centre encourages discussion and debate about Poetry Studies, allowing for all scholars with an interest in poetry to constellate. Our primary activities are web-based, centering on this website and our e-journal POST: A Journal of Poetry Studies, but events at the Centre in Dublin are also planned for the coming academic year, with seminars from invited speakers. In 2008-9, a Postgraduate Pathway allowing for specialization in Poetry studies was offered for the first time as part of the Mater Dei Institute's Masters in Religion and Culture, and this course of study will be repeated in 2009-2010.
